Job Title: Welder
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Schedule: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. This role requires expertise in MIG and TIG welding, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and safety. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience and the ability to lead and support project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute complex welding tasks with precision and quality.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time while maintaining productivity standards.

  • Perform equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.

  • Record job progress and update tracking systems.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.

  • Inspect parts and oversee quality control processes.

  • Use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify part dimensions.

  • Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, squatting, and twisting.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 3+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing setting.

  • Proficient in MIG and TIG welding, especially with aluminum and stainless steel.

  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Experience using precision measuring tools.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Problem-solving abilities and experience leading welding projects.

  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

  • Ability to train and mentor team members.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 40 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs short distances.

  • Stand for extended periods (approx. 70% of shift).

  • Perform physical tasks (walking, squatting, twisting, etc.) as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • TIG welding expertise.

  • Team leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Knowledge of production workflows and quality control practices.

  • Conflict resolution and team development experience.
